The state Department of Health reports 101 new COVID-19 cases statewide and has recorded one new death on Oahu.
The official death total is now at 164, but there are Big Island deaths from the Hilo Life Care Center and Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo that have not yet been added to DOH’s official total.
Hilo Medical Center reported this morning that there have been 33 coronavirus-related deaths on the Big Island.
There are now 13,146 cases reported in the state since the pandemic began.
Hawaii County reported 14 new cases today, making its official case total 866 cases.
The City and County of Honolulu accounts for 86 of the newly reported cases, bringing its total to 11,788 cases.
Maui County reported one case making its official total 397 cases.
Kauai County has no new cases, and its case total remains at 59.
According to DOH, 36 cases are residents diagnosed outside the state.
So far, 900 cases have required hospitalization and 10,604 have been released from isolation as “recovered.”
The county will be providing free COVID-19 testing this week at the following days, times and locations:
• Friday, 9 a.m.-noon at Keauhou Shopping Center in Kona;
• Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at West Hawaii Community Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway in Kona.
No insurance is necessary to be tested, but please bring your insurance card if you have one. No co-pay for individuals being tested.
